Effectiveness as a PD round.
The Winchester Ranger 147 grain is probably the most effective Self Defense round in the 9MM caliber. 0-15 feet is the usual range of a self defense encounter, and in this area, the Winchester provides 12 to 15 inches of penetration in Ballistic gelatin with a .75 diameter jagged hole that looks like it was cut with a hole saw. This effectiveness on a assailant will discourage them and defeat the attack. ER Doctors don't like the results. Police departments Do.

1st gen SXT T-Series
This is the 1st generation Ranger T-Series (RA9T) made for the Canadian RCMP. This projectile was originally produced between 1998-2008 and was replaced with T-Series enhanced (also RA9T) and has a widened hollowpoint cavity.

The long time loading of the RCMP. It's a Z batch so it can range from hollowpoint cavity's that are a mess to perfect LE loads that the primer seal is a little funky. I've had good luck on this batch ( :
